How to Design Compliant Anchorage Systems for Window Cleaning and Facade Access!

In this course, attendees will learn about equipment to specify on rooftops for use by facade access professionals and window washers. We will discuss code requirements for rope decent systems and roof-launched powered platforms, learn a complain anchorage array for use by rope access workers, and discuss structural connections for various retrofit applications. By the end of the course, participants will have introductory understanding required to specify or design a complaint window cleaning anchorage system.

1. Understand the code requirements for use of rope decent and various platforms systems.

2. Understand the basics of anchor layout to meet swing stage requirements.

3. Understand the 5 most common connections used for various roof structures and in new construction.

4. Understand proper and improper use of counterweighted outrigger systems by window cleaners and other facade access workers.
