Speaker:  Tamara Higgins - Lerch Bates

Speaker Bio: Tamara Higgins spent the first 10 years of her career in manufacturing pertaining to Engineering and Project Management. For the next 20 years+ she continued in commercial construction, specifically glass & glazing, then consulting. Tamara has worn various hats throughout the industry, including project management, business development, executive roles and being a business owner. Tamara is currently working at Lerch Bates, a multi-disciplinary consulting firm as Regional Managing Director of Texas. She provides expertise in design development, technical plan & specification reviews, Building Envelope Commissioning, and quality assurance field observations. Her client based spans from Owners, Architects, and General Contractors to Subcontractors and Vendors. Tamara believes that working as a team creates a stronger successful result. Her breadth of expertise and tenacious personality allows her to effectively integrate with project teams responsible for delivering complex building envelope systems and has been in the forefront of these services across multiple market sectors in the commercial construction industry. Her experience includes both new construction consultation, restoration, and forensic investigations, which allows her the ability to apply knowledge gained from each project. She is known to many clients for her innovative thinking which has provided clients with value added systems that exceed design intent, cost & sustainability.
